Going against the so-called “Harlem machine,” Dais is running for the District 9 council seat. While his campaign touches on issues that include affordable housing, health, education and environmental issues, he wants to start a revolution in New York City politics. He said, “Our time is now. We are at a crossroads where we need to change what our government is doing. It’s time we start thinking out of the box by coming together.”
